Meteor Doujinshi by Komae Salon
Tuesday, March 12, 2013 • 9:57 AM • 0 comments
Hello everyone ~
since I'm in the middle of exams week, I know I shouldn't be posting this or even turn on the computer, but I just can't help it  O(≧▽≦)O
Sooo, I'm having math exam tomorrow and actually I feel slightly worried about it, I'm not that good at math and well.. I often make stupid mistakes which often makes me so annoyed. But nevermind~
Okay move on to the conversation, I was browsing randomly last night and suddenly I felt an urge to read AoKise doujinshi, so I kept browsing and I found...

HOLY SHIT! Look at that beautiful picture щ(゜ロ゜щ) OMG!! It's actually a doujinshi by Komae Salon with the title "Meteor" and it HAS BEEN SCANLATED!! Hurraay!! \(T∇T)/ Thanks to Dear Marionette at Livejournal for the scanlation and for those of you who are interested, you can visit dear_marionette community here (You should join the community before you can download it). They also have other doujinshi scanlations that you may like.

So, I guess that's all for today, to tell you the truth I haven't read this doujinshi even though I was so excited when I found it. Yeah, I have a habit to collect many doujinshis and then I read them at once after there are 5/6 doujinshis that I've collected. So don't ask me how the story is, because I've only downloaded it for now >,<

Have a nice day!

Review of Kuroko no Basket
Sunday, March 10, 2013 • 7:06 PM • 0 comments
Hi guys!  ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
So umm.. as you can see, I'm trying to make a blog here, and well.. most of the entries will be about anime, manga, and my daily life..
Okay, it's 6 p.m in Indonesia and I'm having Physics exam tomorrow so I'll make this first post real quick.
In this first post, I'll try to make a review on one of my favorite anime
It's...
Ta Da! Kuroko no Basket! Look how hot Aomine is in this poster *drools*

Yep, okay, it's Kuroko no Basket! Kuroko no Basket was first aired last year around April and it's quite popular these days. My favorite character here is definitely Aomine Daiki. Idk why, he's just so cool and I love him so much  (♡∀♡)

Okay move on to the review~
First of all I'm really sorry for my bad English since this is my first review and I think I've never written a review in English before, so.... please bear with me! I'll try my best! O(≧▽≦)O

So, as you can see in the title, this anime is a sports anime centering around basketball. Actually I was not really fond of sports anime before but somehow Kuroko no Basket (KnB) got me really hooked (Though I believe most of the reason is because of Aomine XD)
And you should note that this review is taken from the anime, NOT from the manga.

Story :
9/10
The story begins with Kagami Taiga, a basketball-freak who spent most of his time in America, who wanted to join the Basketball Club in Seirin High and there, he met Kuroko Tetsuya, the super-ordinary boy in basketball, who was, in fact, once a member of the Generation of Miracles, an all-star team of Teiko Junior High who had three perfect seasons in a row. At first, the story looks like nothing but an ordinary high-school basketball team story, however the story gets more and more exciting when Seirin starts to encounter the other members of Generation of Miracles. The story pace is really good, it won't let you feel bored nor confused. Sometimes the story feels a bit cliche but not like other sports anime, KnB has some unpredictable moments that will definitely shock you! ;)

Art and Animation :
9/10

The art is nice, it's not the best, but all the characters look nice and quite well-defined. For the animation, I believe Production I.G has done a great job. We can see all the cool passes that Kuroko makes and the other catchy unrealistic movements XD there are times where some movements look a bit awkward, but well, overall, the animation deserves an applause.

 Catchy movements. LOL

Sound :
9/10
Both of the openings are sung by GRANRODEO and they are so brilliant. They fit so much to the theme and the lyrics also have the "Kuroko no Basket" atmosphere. The endings are also great to listen to. The soundtracks are also nice, though they are not the best but the soundtracks can add emotions and feelings to the scenes. The voice effects are good too, you can hear the ball bouncing, the shoes' squeaks, etc.
But what I love the most is the voice acting! They really did a good casting for the voice actors/actresses. The voice really fit the characters where each of them has a different and unique personality. At first, I feel a bit strange with Kagami's voice because it's not "Kagami" enough. LOL. but as the story goes on, Ono-san's voice sounds more natural and it has "that Kagami" thingy that differs him with other characters.

Characters:
10/10
In the series, you can see various characters with various personalities. I love how the personality of the characters here are well-described and easy to be distinguished from other characters, especially the Generation of Miracles.
The characters' development is one of the main good points of this series. Throughout the series, you can see how well each character change to be a better person. XD Even though this series is focusing on Kuroko and Seirin, you still can see the development of the other characters, especially the member of Generation of Miracles, like Kise. I really like how his development goes, from a high-skilled copy-cater to a player who can almost win against the ace of GoM, Aomine. However, yeah, we haven't seen so much development on Aomine, but I believe the second season will reveal it! (*≧▽≦)

Enjoyment:
10/10
I believe one thing that made me so hooked about this series is definitely the enjoyment. This anime is about basketball, yet you don't have to play basketball to watch this anime, yes, there are some basketball terms, but they are the usual ones that won't make you confused. They also explain about the terms which are unfamiliar to us, so you don't have to worry about "not being understand the words".
The movements of the players are also a big enjoyment of this series. the cool passes, dunks, dribbles, etc. are maybe the main reason why I get to enjoy this series so much. There are also that epic moments which are so unforgettable!

Overall:
9/10
I really recommend this anime for you, especially the ones who expect good storyline and character development in an anime. The ones who enjoy comedy and sports should try this anime too. There are also some irresistible BL hint at the end of each episode for us fujoshi (人´∀`*) *coughs*
I really like how this anime teaches me a lot about teamwork, friendship, fighting spirit and to never give up. And I also remember times when I laughed, smiled, and felt so amazed when watching KnB.
Yes, I've heard some criticism about this anime not being realistic, I can't deny it, but I have one message: If you want realism, just go and play basketball XD

P.S.  I re-read this review and ugh, it feels so lame. Even for a first review, my review looks so cheesy. Sorry guys :(
